GRACE HARRISON : TABS Trustee

Grace Harrison lives in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and works full time as a Support Worker for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Grace has been involved in various voluntary projects in her local area for many years such as working in the Night Shelter and in an Over 65’s Lunch Club. Grace is currently involved with an anti-racism movement in Bedworth where she completes administrative tasks and is now developing a video series that covers different topics to help spread awareness.

Grace’s church past

Grace has been an active member of her church in Bedworth for most of her life and has been on the church’s PCC and DCC for two years now where she is the youngest member and offers a fresh, young perspective on matters arising and on upcoming projects for the development of the Bedworth Parish, although still needing to grow in confidence in her ability she has been assured this will come with time.

Fundraising

She has become passionate about TABS through many conversations with Trustees, fundraising events she has attended and the presentations about trips to Kenya. Last year she organized a fundraising event for TABS by putting on a quiz afternoon at a community coffee shop she and her mother used to manage in Warwickshire.

Enthusiasm for learning

Grace has only recently joined us as a Trustee and is full of enthusiasm and a yearning to learn. She feels like the more knowledge and experience she gains the more her confidence and her contributions to TABS will grow.
